I've been working several months on 2 Mountain Man busts and completed both last night. The bust base is by Ken Thomas.

    Still perfect and outstanding paintwork.
The base fits so perfect that it is almost a part of the bust.

Superb work Guy, two mountainmen at the same time must be some sort of record. I really love how you portray them and your use of colour for such a figure, who would look rather drab, is outstanding.
    Wonderful work indeed.
You could always say the red bead was lost while he was fighting a bear in the Rockies, picked out by the bears claw. That should stop "Nitpicking".

The bases are super and fit the busts very well.

Guy, one of my all time favorite painters of mountain men/Native Americans is the great Paul Calle. The detail in your work reminds me of his, only in 3D. Both busts are absolutely superb; it's inspiring!

Mary ~ I have several Paul Calle prints hanging here in my den. Great inspiration. His book is also a great reference too.
