WIP Critique YS Hellenic revolutionary general Bust

    Hi there!
    This is what I'm currently working on. I knew it wouldn't be an easy piece when I bought it, but I felt brave then..but now..*ahem*.:oops::whistle:
    Still a lot of work to do in every front..I'll update this thread when finished. As always comments and criticisms welcome.

    Just keep going Gerard, this is en route to become a stunner!

    If you allow me one suggestion: maybe use some very dark shadow in the main folds of the turban? Sparingly, just the deepest folds.

    Hi Nicolas..Basically used Vallejo flat brown 70984 as a base and for outlining, beige brown70875 to paint the half tones, and Andrea Light white gold for highlights. then I had to correct at some poins the excess of shine with a (very diluted) layer of matt varnish-Vallejo520..also I'm using vallejo 70982Calvary brown (on a glaze medium) to darken the deepest spaces between braids
