Both pieces are very nice. I like the face on the knight, and the WW1 subject and size is an interesting one.~Gary

    Freakin' Awesome!!

That WWI Mountain Trooper is a real gem! Gorgeous, as nice as anything Young has ever done.

Same goes for the bust. Beautiful work.

But I have to say that I am getting a little weary of "caped crusaders"! How many of them can this hobby stand? I don't want to be negative, but the genre has never appealed to me personally. Rather than yet another "me too" crusader, I wish that we had a greater variety interesting subjects......

    Like, maybe........ WWI Mountain troops!!!

    Great stuff!!

    Cheers!!

I just love that mountain trooper! A definite 'must have'.

And if memory serves me well....wasn't there a famous German field marshal of Afrikakorps fame, who as an Oberleutnant in the Wuerttemberg Mountain Battalion earned the Pour le Mérite in 1917?

TOO COOL! Beautiful sculpting and an interesting choice of subject! More mountain troops please - German Jagers, Austro-Hungarian Kaiserjagers or Kaiserschutze.

    All the best,
    Dan
