    hello
indeed very nice, i would paint the surtout in an middle sand with some goldbrown embroidery on it.like an booty saracene gown.
and the shield in an normal device with geometric pattern used around 1100.so one could avoid this terible white with red cross one hardly can stand at all.
from the artistic level its surely first rate.even the shield looks an little bit small
    cheers

It certainly is a beautifully sculpted piece,I just love the work on the headress. It's simply superb.
But I have to agree with Callum that the shield appears way out of scale with the rest of the bust.

I am loving this I have just completed Youngs Gordon Highlander and This will be the next Bust That I paint for sure, I hope that young continues with these different subjects because they make a great change to the German ww2 subjects (as cool as they are) .............. I wonder if young will hear my mental plea for a 95th rifleman, a soviet ww2 recon soldier , or a modern British Infantry man set in afghanistan, that would be truely awesome - Young Miniatures please keep up with the diverse subject matter , and your cool german / soviet ww2 peices

    Best Regards
    Chris
