Hi Guys just started working on this very popular bust.Skin tones are almost complete ,still working on hair. All painting is oils ,but applied very thin in small areas at a time over a humbrol undercoat. The hat is just undercoated and will be painted next. The main body is also ready to paint ,will show this in the next lot of photos.

    Cheers David

Thanks Tommi glad you like it so far.The flesh mix was done in several different mixes in various parts of the face. The shadows are mostly,Brown Madder,Flesh Ochre and Mars Orange. The highlights Titanium White,Flesh Ochre and Naples Yellow Pale. The stubble is stippled in with Sepia,Warm Sepia and Mars Black. The undercoat was Humbrol 250.All the various shades were placed side by side and then carefully blended.Hope this makes sense, it harder to explain than to do.

    Cheers David

Excellent David, the fleshtones are fantastic and thanks for sharing your mixes. What really struck me were the eyes. You've given them a proper tired, haggard look. I like the tint of redness you've added to them.
