Hi Guy, thanks mate. I'm starting to see more of a resemblence to Colin Farrell now. I've added the five 0'clock shadow tonight and the face is now finished.;) The whiskers are wet pastel chalk stipled on to the skin.

Hi Mitsutaka, yes almost finished my friend. Still to do the highlighting and final blending. Thank you for your kind comments.

G'day Ben, sorry you wont be able to attend the club meting on Teusday night.:( Thanks for your comments and I hope you'll be able to see Alexander in the flesh soon. For now you'll just have to make do with these pics.;)

Thanks Marc, I'm closer to the finish than the start now. This is an excellent bust to paint, mainly because the sculpting is so good.:D Thanks for your comments mate.

What a change the five o'clock shadow made........excellent work Tony with the pastel chalk. I like the effect it gives. Do you clear coat it afterwards?

Thanks very much Guy. Yes, you need to seal the pastels under a clear flat varnish, such as DullCoat, or they will rub off.

Tony, what a great SBS, stunning painting allround, I really liked the technique used for the 5 o'clock stubble as it really brought the actor to life. Congratulatons.
