    Hi all there!
Almost finished this one. Still need to correct some things. I've painted the life vest in green/grey, Front lobes supposed to have been hand painted in yellow by the pilot to add visibility.
I hope you like it. Any comments or suggestions more than welcomed

    Cheers,
    Gerard

this is totally not my era at all but I love the facial expression and the overall great finish on it, ive been asked to paint this for a friends Granddad, who was apparently one of the few, signed up when he was 17 and flew spits and hurries, I have nothing but total respect for all of them

Me too, of course, even more considering that at their age they should have been just playing football or running after the girls at hometown, instead flying the most complicated machines of that time and being launched towards an early death

Now that is beautiful, I like the idea of the cap badge I was going to do the same thing. This is IMHO better than boxart. Now where did I leave my brushes?
