This is my rendition of Yedharo's Spartan bust. I have been experimenting with different flesh mixes because I have not been happy with any of mine. I have to give credit to Jay Hollopeter as this is his mix. Thanks bro!! A few mistakes I need to fix but would like some honest opinions on this one. Only the flesh was done in oils. Everything else is acrylics. Used the Andrea red set for the cape and actually like it. Need to highlight the gold clasp. SO opinions PLEASE!!! Good or bad, I want to hear!!

    Damn Brother that was fast!

I like the skin tones they are the bomb. The reds looks good as well. The eyes look like they are a little off.

    Overall good execution.

    Hi!

    Great flesh and red.
My only construtive criticism is to the right eye seems assimetrical and strange, maybe is from photo angle.
    Nice job!

Agree the eyes are a bit off and won't take much fixing but the rest is very good. Nice work Jason.

I think you've done a very nice job on this beautiful bust from Yedhero
miniatures. I have painted several of Fausto's sculptures from Yedhero.

I want comment about some of the things that I would like to see you fix.
But I have very old eyes, and the photos really are not quite close enough
for this old person to comment truthfully.

Several PFers mentioned the eyes. I don't think the iris is quite large enough
for the size of the eyes. The circle in the center isn't large enough, if what
    I'm seeing is correct.

Also, re the hair and the beard. I think I am seeing that you have used two
colours to paint the hair. The deep shadows and then the highlights on the tops
of the "locks" of hair. I would like for you to introduce one or two more
colours in that area for the hair and the beard. I think that would bring the
bust more to life. Give more colour harmony. Perhaps colours more in the
red range to compliment the very fine job you have done on the cape.

All told, you've really done a very fine job. It is just a few minor point that
    I wanted to make.

Thanks for the comments guys! I will go back and ad some more depth to the hair. I fixed the iris' on the eyes. As for the eyes as a whole I can only work with what the sculptor gave me but I did enlarge the iris and reworked it so it looks much better.
