I've just seen the article here on PF for a forthcoming book- Modelling Military Miniatures, it looks like it might be a good purchase but I'm wondering if there's any other similar books out there already?

At the moment it's US infantry uniforms I'm looking at but I do model German subjects too and, ideally, painting with oils.

Photos of real peices of clothing, equipment etc. would be good too.

    Any thoughts?

    Hi Dave

The one you refer to is just Acrylics

These are just a few for German after a quick Google , you could also search here on PF as well for both US and others

There's also the Mr Black publications

As for original uniform pics ......so many just google , have a look at reenactment sites as well

There's also loads on You Tube

Hope this helps in a small way

Look forward to seeing the figures

Thanks for that Nap, very useful.
I have the AK Panzer uniforms book already, I just haven't found something similar for US Army uniforms
I should be able to post some work in progress photos soon(ish)
