I was contacted by a lady who requested a figure for her husband. He is a WWII Navy Veteran. He was an Aviation Ordananceman 1st Class. He crewed on a Navy PBY-2 something or other and they actually sunk a couple subs.

I used the Michael Miniatures Navy bust for the project. I sent the picture to the wife for her approval. She replied that it should be a figure with his “White Go-To- Town” uniform (Dress Whites). Also his correct rating on the sleeve. No medals!

So I set about filling her request. This is the finished figure. I hope she and her husband like it!

Excellent work Nick. Reminds me of my own father who served in the Navy.

    Thanks Ken,

The base is from Ken Thomas, and the Navy pin is from Medals of America.
