I seem to recall someone asked a question about this sometime in the distant past. I found this in the Official History of Australia in the War 1914-1918, vol iii whilst researching a soldier originally from my area who enlisted in the Australian army in Dec. 1914, was wounded at Gallipoli and later died of wounds in France 1916.
