Other than some careful cleaning and a bit of steel wool smoothing, I think this figure is done.

The figure is in the usual 1:16th scale using Magic Sculpt and some Kneadatite here and there. The parts include a head and rifle from Reedees Miniatures, boots from a kit, bits of brass and part of a hypodermic needle.

I'm re-posting the illustration which was one of my references.

    Hope you like it!

    All the best,
    Dan

    Thanks, Martin!

Thought I'd share some nice photos of an 1895 Mannlicher with canvas sling. Used them as a reference for the sling on the figure. Enjoy!

    All the best,
    Dan

John, Captfue & gdt - Many thanks all!

John - Couldn't get there this year and I regret it.

My wife and I had planned to drive up but she got a bad migraine on Friday morning - the kind where you go find a dark closet and put a moist towel on your eyes and tell the world to go away. Thankfully she doesn't get nearly as many as she once did.

I'm sure she would have thoroughly enjoyed meeting you and your wife.

    Next year...

    All the best,
    Dan
