    After my brother lent me some WW1 books I was wondering if anybody could recomend any books, web sites etc. that you all recomend.

    Thanks for such fast replies. I am going to paint a couple of tommy's war figures for him, so that's part of the trip to this years nationals at Telford sorted

    Hello Simon,

    Osprey's publications are pretty good (Tommy, British Army, German Army etc.) at http://www.ospreypublishing.com/world_war_1/.

    I usually use the Osprey books for the general reference and then rely mostly on photos for specifics. Of course I use them for more for sculpting than for painting but they might be useful to you as well. Here's a few:
