Hi ,
Its my pleasure to be able to review the latest from the Figures@MDC range from Model Design Construction .
The subject is a lesser known "Ace"called Lt Edgar Scholtz , born in Suhl , Thuringia 21/09/1898 and killed in action over Cappy in France on 2nd May after 6 victories , , the sculptor is Rob Lane , who has worked from an actual photograph of the subject wearing the fur covered coat and helmet .
The bust comes in a stout and rigid clear plastic box with recycled packaging (well done MDC for this) .
My review sample was received very quickly from MDC and with excellent postal packing and a follow up call as well !!!
The initial inspection revealed a high quality casting , retaining all the details sculpted , minimal work is required to remove any casting flash with no mould lines to remove .
The bust is a 2 piece casting which includes the actual bust plus a separate base , cast in grey resin by Bob Brown from MDC
Here we have the 2 pieces shown together , with views from front , rear and side
