WW1 French Poilu near completion

    This my version of the Poilu bust from Nemrod. It required just a bit of work to seat the ammo pouches correctly - had to grind way some of the area beneath the belt, but all, in all, a very good kit and very affordable! I also add the metal hooks that connect the straps to the pouches. Here is a reference photo from my personal collection of this small detail for anyone else painting this figure. Now back to working on the WW1 Trench diorama in 120mm!

    Hi Dave, what an amazing detail and colors on this bust.
    The horizon blue is dead on, the fleshtones and expression you've painted on his face makes this bust look scary real, great work!
