WW1 Figures in 1:48 scale?

    A friend is modeling a US train station circa 1917-1918 in O scale (1:48), and wants to show some soldiers waiting to board the train.
    Are there any Allied figures in this scale in the marketplace?
    Are there any figures in this scale that might be converted for this use?
    There are lots of good WW1 figures in 28mm, but they are too small for use with 1:48. Converting 1:48 Tamiya WW2 figures is a possibility, but likely a big task.

    Don, I do,a pair of German WW1 figures in 1/48 that could be converted. Have a look on the Elan13 Miniatures site (link below).
    I'm working on a RFC pair, but they won't be out until later in the year
