The World Model Soldier Federation is now accepting proposals for World Expo 2008. Proposals must be prepared in accordance with the attached instructions, and are due by 15 April 2005. All member organizations comprising the World Model Soldier Federation will review the proposals submitted and cast their votes by 31 May 2005. The selected proposal and venue will be announced just prior to World Expo 2005 in Boston.

The World Model Soldier Federation

The site of each World Expo is chosen by a vote of all the Military Miniature Societies that comprise the World Model Soldier Federation (WMSF). At present, there are some 50 member societies from countries around the world, notably France, the United States, Great Britain, Italy and Japan. Each society casts one vote.

Societies that are not yet members of the WMSF are welcome – and encouraged – to join. There is no cost for WMSF membership for those organizations wishing only to participate in World Expo site selection. To join, the society must be a legitimate hobby society (in existence for at least 2 years), and must provide the name of the society, a contact person, a mailing and e-mail address, and telephone number. Send the application to [email protected].

Should you have any questions regarding the preparation of a proposal for World Expo 2008, or about the World Model Soldier Federation, please do not hesitate to contact me or Shep Paine.

Regards,

Bill Horan
