Hello,

I just finished this funny bust from Toison Studio. US Army tanker or let’s call it Oddball. The company is no longer working and the bust is very hard to find, but I was lucky to get it for a very reasonable price in the second hand market.

The resemblance with Dondald is very good with a certain cartoonish touch. What I didn’t like was the casting of the figure. In many parts the resin was missing and I had to reconstruct it with putty, milliput, etc.

I used acrylics for the painting. Nothing remarkable, just I tried to give some texture to the leather jacket. On the crystal googles tried to make some short of non metallic metal (or non crystallic crystal LOL).

Somewhere I saw a full (1/35th?) tank crew based on the film... a full crew plus a battered speaker horn to bolt on to standard Sherman kits.
