After having spent a day trying to model this micro reasonably presentable, I've realized that my abilities are rather limited - and I NEVER manage to get that complicated shape with the many slits in order to be satisfied.

Here you can see the result of my torment ...:

Compare yourself: There does not match everything!

Before I invest more time in a homeless thing, I threw my "Lomo 82A-5M" in the trash!

Then I looked again in the www for a template that is better to realize. However, it should again be Soviet, match with the time and can be immediately identified by a viewer as a microphone!

I found this here, again a Soviet "Lomo", built from 1976 - and mainly for export to the western foreign countries, which is why the shape corresponds more to the usual in the West optics.

It is the "Lomo PL76" ...:

There are several photos showing Vladimir Semyonovich in 1979 at a concert in the Cultural Palace of Yaroslavl:

The guitar sound picks up a "Lomo 82A-5M" as I've vainly tried to sculpt, and he sings into a "Lomo PL76" as I'm going to build it now ...:

First, I made a "FIMO" ball and baked hard in the oven.

I then covered the ball with gauze - these stitches also fit to scale!

Next, I've already cut the handle, it consists of two different pieces of wire.

And then I built the outrigger to which the thing will later be attached.

These outriggers are extendable with an internal extension piece, d. d. variable, and the extension piece is locked with a knurled screw that I made from "Milliput".

The outrigger itself is made of flower wire, so nice and light!

The shape of the handle at the back of the outrigger can be seen on the next Fotos very - the thing is of course also of Soviet provenance...:

    Here everything together ...:

    Looks much better ...!

Microphone with on/off switch and protection ring ready!

Outrigger with complete adjustment mechanism finished!

    Everything assembled ...:

Only the cable is missing - because I will use one, which is attached to the back of the miniature speaker box, which will serve as a pedestal.

And I still have to build the microphone stand ...

My little microphone is almost finished - here the outrigger is still provisionally supported until the glue is hard ...:

What's missing is the locking mechanism of the outrigger - and its parts are already finished ...:

The stand will still be cut in height to match the bust, later, when everything is mounted on the base ...

    One word ...Amazing

    Good on you Martin

Did you envisage this being added when you received the sculpt ?.......so much thought has gone into this and indeed every piece we have had a SBS on

Nope, the idea came about ten days ago.
Then I researched and started to build the thing.

It was clear from the beginning what kind of pedestal sign I will make.
I have to do that, too.

Vladimir Vyssotzky and his music have played a special role in my life and the sculpt is fantastic!

That means: It is an obligation to present this beautiful bust as good as possible ...

(And if Roman of "Legion Miniatures" will like the end result then, he can use it for free as boxart, if he wants...)

    Hi Martin

Well all I can say is it's a great idea

The SBS has been very interesting to learn about the musician and you are certainly presented it in the best possible way

Look forward to the next update and of course SBS

    I just finished the micro.

    There were two difficulties:

First, to mix this very special bluegreengrey of the micro-housing as closely as possible - these kinds of oil colors were necessary...:

Secondly, to paint this really tiny black and silver band around the mic with the company logo and the type number# - though I really could only hint at the letters ...

The colors - including the silver ink for the linkage! - are still wet, which one also looks at the photos unfortunately.

But for "completely selfmade" I'm quite happy with it ...:

Today I started with the socle plate and made it's "inner life"!

From the remnants of an old car number from the vintage car I have cut out an almost ircular piece...

... and attached with carpet tape to a mini-drill plate of my "Proxxon" ...:

Then the thing was once really round and slightly thinner outside ...:

And finally, I engraved with a pin there grooves - which was not so easy, because the thin plastic is enormously hot enormously fast - and then it gets dirty!

Well - does anybody have any idea where the trip is going ...?

The next episode will be here the day after tomorrow - because tomorrow is the big Citroen meeting kick off for the classic car season...

No, our Season opening meedting is in a litte village, about 40 km's away...

The name of that village is - as I think - impossible to speak in English. It's called "Bruchhausen-Vilsen"...
