Hi all this is a new bust for Gordon Mitchel and as you can see it depicts an Officer of 17th Lancers Crimea. Couple of things to do and wants cleaning up etc. 20120101_000613 - Edited.jpg 20120101_000605 - Edited.jpg 20120101_000421 - Edited.jpg

Would be an absolute must if mounted, however I would imagine it would be done in 120mm, ..... I'd still have to have it.

Cracking piece. The arm thing is to do with the angle of the camera and shadow cast under the arm. If you look at the second photo from the back it looks full as it should be.

The bust is based on this painting of Lord tredegar during the charge, I dont get the arm thing, I can easily adopt that position . MWR_ECH_240314CHARGE_02 (1).jpg

Nice bust, but I don't know the details on the front of the jacket are right...only two lines of buttons...

He's wearing the stable jacket - probably more suitable for Aliwal than the Crimea, but officers were a law unto themselves.

its a stable jacket this one was worn in the charge by Lietenant sir william Gordon. its got sabre cuts all over it. Its in the National army museum collection and was a well known and popular form of dress for officers. 98033.jpg 98034.jpg

Im not sure you will get any better proof than one that was actually worn in the charge

Few alterations with the Arm and more work on the cap, have changed the studs on the jacket which in reality were much smaller and a lot more of them. Thanks for the input.
