This is my latest work, a 54mm figure of William d' Aubigay a favourite of Kiing John he joined Prince Louis of france's invasion of England after King John abadoned Winchester. He retuned to the royalist fold after the french invaders and rebel barons wee defeated at the battle of Licoln. He joined the 5th Crusade and died in Italy on his journey back to England.
The figure is mostly scratch built from magic sculpt with a historex head and a heavily modified histoex horse
I used Tommi Worton's stencils for the heradry, very useful for ensuring you get all the lions the same size on the horse trapper.

Wow, if this is scratch built it is a really good piece of work! Good dynamic pose, excellent!

His eyes look a bit droopy for being in mid-battle, but this is only a minor gripe, hardly distracting from a very good piece of work.

    Cheers,
    Adrian

Thanks for all the kind comments guys, I really enjoyed making this piece so much more satisfying than building a kit straight from the box and much much cheaper!
