Hi all,

here is a sculpting project in progress which i try to sculp a gunman from old west.
It's in Super Sculpey and about 80 mm tall. The head may needs to be resized, because to small and so for the neck...
It could appears static but it's because the fig is posing for an invisible photographer as we can see in a lot of old photos.

Hi Nico:

Now you realize we are only looking at photos of your sculpting. And that can
be very misleading. I think you're off to a great start. However, re the
sculpting of the head. . . I am wondering about the size of the ears. My
initial guess is that they are too big. I just went to the mirror on the wall, and
held up a hand mirror to check the length of my ears. Now you understand,
I am an old man, and usually as we age, our ears and our nose get bigger.

However, that said, my ears line up on the side view, as the top of my ear
being just below my eyebrows, and the bottom of the ear, is slightly above
the mouth. From looking at the photos, I think your ears on that "shootist"
are longer than that. Other than that one comment, I think you're off to a very
good start. This is a guess you understand, since I am not looking at the
actual figure. . . Good luck and keep up posted,

thanks a lot Rick and Rob for your comments.
I'm going to correct the head and ears size, i'm just thinking (i'd rather tell brainstorming !) for how to do so.....totally remodeling the head or continue on the existing ?? I did not decided yet....hope i will soon !

i decided to completly change the head, to small and neckless.
So i removed the head (sort of old french habit !!!!:lol.



And then the new one











So, what about this one ?

This one looks a ton better, love the bald head with the longer hait at the back, suits the theme.

but the bald head is going to be hidden with a hat. I hesitated a lot cause i liked it too, but all guys i saw on old photos wore their hat for the pic...so i did:
