Until just now if anyone had asked me, I would have said that
I've rather enjoyed this whole lock down thing. For more than a
year life has meant suppliers happy to deliver groceries, fresh
vegetables, fruit, meat, and fish to our door, while I quietly walk
the dogs, paint a bit, do some gardening, and paint some more.
All followed by a nice dinner, and because there's absolutely
bugger all on the telly, a decent movie.

This afternoon however, four of my grand-children appeared
(all girls and aged between 11 and 16) , and we had tea on
the patio in the warm sunshine. As they slurped their tea,stuffed
their chocolate digestives, Kit-kats, and ripple bars, and gossiped
inconsequentially, I came to realise exactly what I've missed !

Who'd have thought it..... eh?
