    Hello.

I'd like to present my first try of dark skin - White Models Islamic Warrior.
This is an old model, and my copy is not very good cast - you can see it on the "frontal" picture, there is some problem, especially with eyes.
The skin is probably a bit too dark for an arabian person, but I'm not going to change it, actually, I like it.

I hope you like it too.

I think it's good enough for the beginning, perhaps my eyes to want a little correction, but otherwise be very good!!!(y)

    Tanks for comments guys.
Alexandros - you are correct with the eyes, but it's rather the cast then painting. Belive me, I've done what I could to make it look proper. I'm aware this don't look great, but with my skills, there is no room form improvment

Marc - you're right, skin is too dark, but as I wrote, I'm not planning to change it, beacouse I'd to paint whole face once again.

Eduardo - actually, I'm looking for some good resource about clothing - I know 5 different versions of this figure:
    - box art, which I don't like very much,
    - Diego Ruina's spectacular painting with plenty of oriental patterns
    http://www.masterclass.it/products/...age=vmj_ritz.tpl&product_id=228&category_id=2
    - Mike Blank's presented in his book "Black & White"
    - "red stripes" version, also presented in "Black & White" book
    - and this one http://www.historexagents.com/shop/hxproductdetail.php?ProductCode=WM90/14

Of course, I can copy one of this versions, but I really could use some good historical pictures or drawings.

    Hello again.
I had a few months "painting off" due to my beloved work :/. Now I have holiday at last, so I'm trying to finish this model. As you may notice, I repainted the face - by accident I sprayed it with basecot :inpain:.
No so funny as it seems to be:). But, I belive now it looks a bit better - in the meantime I removed a forgotten seamline on the right cheek (you can see it on the very first photo), and also I readjust the nose with some magic sculp.
Model is extremely time consuming - all this stripes, ornaments, etc. take ages to paint.
I hope you enjoy it, though.

    Hello.
    Some more WIP pictures.
Surprisingly, I'm pleased with the result so far :)
At firts I was going to paint more ornaments on the tunic, but I skiped this idea - the red colour turned out pretty well, I think

    Hello.
An update. My work on this model is advancing slowly, but little by little I'm closing to the finish. Still wepons (two pistols, a sabre and his yatagan scabbard) and the shield to paint, and also some fancy fringes on the helmet.
Sorry for shiny photos, but I don't have time to take new shots. Anyway, I hope you like it.
