What are good 28-32mm mounted Napoleonic figures?

I would like to create a box diorama of a Chasseur on service duty with Napoleon and staff in the background. The guard will be a Historex kit in the foreground, and the staff will be smaller on the rise in the background. I don't know smaller scale figures, but the few I have seen lack detail, and they look like short squatty little people. Can you recommend any good quality small scale mounted Napoleon and staff figures?
    Thanks,
    Pete

    Pete,

Try Foundry or Perry Miniatures, they do some great 28mm figures.

Have you considered using 30mm flats in the background Pete?

I agree with Steve, Foundry and Perry figures are excellent, in workable plastic and very reasonably priced too.

You might look at the old Airfix 1/72 figures, too, though I'm not sure what kind of poses you'd like.

    Prost!

First Legion do some 40mm figures,[unpainted!] that have good detail, and are reasonably priced.
Using flats could reduce the need for a deep box,and there are some excellent Napoleonics available.

That would be my choice, loads of detail, the correct proportions are guaranteed , simpler to foreshorten the perspective in a shallower box,
Love to see it, please have it finished next week !
    Haha

Thanks guys. I will check them out. I like the idea of flats.

I've just tried a very quick mock up and it could work, the groundwork would be the most critical aspect to make it convincing.

    Good demo Roger,
BUT that white mule in the foreground should be behind the flats I think?
Oh hang on, where's me specs ?
