OK folks, this had to be the most fun I've had painting in some time........possibly ever! This is the Hellboy (Little Boy) bust from Figurallia Miniatures. I have actually finished up two pieces lately, and I got this one done in record time after a box art piece I had to do. I couldn't pull myself away from this one. I think I was able to knock this one out in about a week. That's VERY fast for me. I just got sucked in! A great sculpt, in the spirit of Mike Mignola's style (the creator of Hellboy). With that in mind, I treid to make the palette of colors in keeping with the muted tones of a Mignola comic. I had to give him my own touch, I added the cigar, removed the original "stone" look base and added some scaring to his horn stubs. Loved doing the red skin tones on this fellow!
