This is one bust I just had to have as soon as I saw it. It is one of the best sculpts I have ever seen. It arrived today in a sturdy box with a layer of foam each part in it's own bag. comprising of 5 parts, it has no mould lines and only requires the barest wipe of filler to finish off prior to priming and painting. It is one of a limited run of 78. I am not sure if there will be a general release or not, perhaps Fex can assist there.



The main body and head show a man you would really not want to cross. I'd hate to be a sinner in front of this man! He is definitely not a meek type of priest for sure. The facial and body details are all clean crisp and beautifully detailed. You can see mine is number 5 (V) in the run of 78



The other main component is the helm. This again is well detailed and crisp. It did take me a minute or two to work out the tab is a locating peg and not a casting block. While this does have a large area to glue I will definitely pin mine to avoid disaster



The last item of the bust proper is the shield. This is not a parade ground item it has definitely seen service in the chastising of the ungodly masses and is a battered well used bit of kit. The wood grain is well done and while debates rage about whether you can see grain in this scale etc, frankly I don't much care it "looks" right and that is what matters the look of a figure not scale accuracy over a minor detail IMO.



Finally it comes with a base and a mounting rod,both of which are well done the base being a dark brown item. I am sure most folks myself included will replace these but they are perfectly serviceable as is.


All in all this is a work of art even before it is painted. I am almost too scared to try But I will and no doubt you can all have a good laugh as I post my latest lurch from crisis to crisis as a W.I.P. once I've cleared the decks a bit of on going projects

Nice review. About the shield wood grain I would sand it a little, but that's a question of own tastes, also I agree that the bust deserves a bigger base.
Looking forward your work on it. (no laughs at all. I promise)

I saw the step by step of the sculpt of this bust, and once again I must say it´s really good.
But I still think that the helmet steals a bit relevance to the face.

I not absolutely understand. difficulties of transfer. But the criticism about the size of a helmet seems to me?
The helmet was big therefore the sizes represent the facts

I have a replica helm like that and having measured it the one on the bust is virtually identical, but I think Eduardo means it draws attention from the face, I don't see that myself though

Great bust ,but for top gun sculpting H&V Miniatures are outstanding and very hard to beat.

It is a controversial question, therefore that at everyone the preferences. I consider H&V Miniatures works the most usual and mediocre, and very good and inimitable I consider Yury Serebryakov's works.

I remember watching this being sculpted on the sculpt thread and thought then how it would make a great commercial piece, and I am glad it has been released now. The attention to detail and especially the facial expression is excellent and I hope this sells well.

it very well is on sale. at me any more didn't remain copies.
