I have used Cheap Joes years ago when they used to ship brushes free. Now, I believe they charge.
Depending on how many brushes you order ASW may be a better deal (cheaper prices per brush!) when you include shipping costs.

    Hello,

Regarding the prices offered for W&N Series 7 brushes Cheap Joe's can't be beat and they carry a lot of other items at great prices as well. However, I do believe they have a minimum order price of $30. I have ordered several brushes from them in the past, but it has been a while since my last purchase and I'm not sure if the minimum order price still applies. Nonetheless, Cheap Joe's is a great source.

Thought I found a better place but they have discontinued carrying W&N Miniature Series 7.

    Really? How about here:

Dick Blick's everday prices are less than these sale prices - check out how much you save on a single #1!

They are very often the cheapest online retailer for any artist materials and I recommend their site as the first port of call if you're doing some price comparisons. They have a very good shipping and returns policy. plus if you place a large order and some of it turns out not to be in stock when it's being packed they ship what's ready and send the rest later at no cost to you.

    Thanks Einion!

I humbly stand corrected. I forgot about Dick Blick's. Although I have checked out their website regarding other merchandise, I've never had the pleasure of ordering brushes from them. But I will soon. There appears to be about a $1.50 to $2.00 difference in the price offered by Cheap Joe's for #000-1.

If anyone is ordering Series 7s from Dick Blick you might want to try their own-brand brushes, made for them in Spain by Escoda.

I have a few of the Dick Blick Sable rounds (not the "Fine" labeled ones).
For me, the Dick Blick Sable hairs seemed a tad "coarser" than the WN 7's. However, they seem to have held up better then WN7's of similar vintage. :)

    Not sure what I prefer.

I have found the quality of almost ALL the watercolor brushes to vary from one order to the next.

My comment about finding a cheaper location was about a Philadelphia mailorder art supplier. When I called they had discontinued handling W&N.
I checked Dick Blick on the W&N #7 Miniature brushes and www.aswexpress.com does better by a dollar or two.
