    Hi All
I have not posted anything for some time so I am in catch up mode. This is my version of Andrea's Viking Fury. Finished but not yet on a base.

    Very nice work.
The eyes are outstanding. But the hair is overdone. I think you must tone it down a little bit. It's unnatural red in my humble opinion.

this is what i think a viking should look like ! a nutter that looks like hes about to cut your head off !!!!! great paint job n the eyes make him look proppa deranged.
maybe just a little dark wash over the hair , but thats it !

Superb painting overall, Peter! You injected the most anger and madness in him compared to other already excellent renditions. And who is to say that has nothing to do with... um.... the red hair?

Now the red hair is something I haven't seen before. From a perspective where we assume he rampages in a fictitious world, and where hair glows (is that thanks to vivid highlighting or a certain varnish?), he is 110 out of 100.

    Hi Guys
Thanks for your comments and advice. The red of the hair has come out much brighter in the photo then it is on the model.

also... and i like it very much.:)

It my taste only, your painting is great Peter, but space between the teeth brunt sienna gives another look, for me, more realistic.
