It seems like I always have a figure "on the side" that takes forever to finish. Well, after many months of just working on the Viking on the weekends The Viking Warrior was finished yesterday.

The flesh is done in tube oils and the rest was done in Floquil enamels and Humbrol enamels.

Thanks PJ Deluhery, Vergilius, Stephen and Tommi for the kind words.

Tommi ~ I base coated the front of the shield with the colors, red and yellow and afterwards gave it two thin washes of black. After the washes dried I went back and dry-brushed red and yellow accross the grain. After the dry-brush I used black to outline the spaces between the wood planks.

Excellent work Guy,
Can you take another picture from the face. It is not so sharp and i think that the eyes are badly sculpt, or you must go again for "outline" them.
That shield is absolutely fabulous.

Thanks Keith, Jay and Marc for the kind words.

Marc ~ The facial details are very soft and dificult to paint. A shame too because of the fantastic hair detail in the beard and cape. Most all of the Actramac figures are this way..:(
I'll take a close-up of the face in the morning when I set up the photo booth again.

Thanks John, David and Costas for the kind words.

Costas ~ There are some beautiful 120mm figures out there and I have quite a few stashed away to do. I consider the 120mm the middle size of 54mm to the size of the average bust of 200mm.

Hi Guy - your variant of painting very beautiful! It is well visible that you painted with soul and mood, therefore always fine result!
Yours faithfully my friend.

Thanks for the kind words Sergey. I think there is a little bit of soul in every figure a painter paints.
