Have been bogged down in a couple of large pieces recently, but did manage to get this gorgeous bust done for a little relaxation. It's by Roberto Chaudon and comes from El Greco.
A superb sculpt and first class casting. All in my usual way with oils, and metals in acrylic.
Hope you like it and feel free to comment.

    Hi Ron,
Now this I like!... smooth and subtle colours! .... the coldness of the face, and the subtle tones!... the whole piece is very thought provoking!.. as there is much more to this than meets the initial eye ! ... as I am finding myself saying how was, this/that, and the other achieved! ... Very well done !

    Regards,

    Mark

This is nice Ron c love the washed out colours and the metallics, looks good on the black base which is fast becoming a favourite of mine as it shows the figure up best

Hi Ron T, very nice of you to comment. I am using a different approach to colours at the moment, and a new brand of metals for variation.
Glad you approve of results. I agree about the black bases, allows the figure to stand out.

    Cheers

Hi Ron T, always use acrylics for the metals, oils for the rest.

    Cheers
