Surely Quatre Bras rather than Ligny? No British troops involved in that battle.

    Hi Ivo

Thanks for sharing this dramatic piece

The painting of the captured colour looks great as does the mud effects

    Saving this to a album

    Happy benchtime

after some memories a new sculpt...

a figure completely sculpted using hands and head from my Figurinitaly range ...

subject is a flag bearer of Royal Deux Pont infantry at the battle of Yorktown, I'm fascinated by the american revolution and I'm going to explore the period.

first some documentation... a Rigo plate is very useful and interesting PLAR50.JPG

around the web I also found this drawing were the habit is well designed, isn't the same but was form the same period

in the 70th I already did this subjects converting a Labayen figures

and here the new version... far from the end, flag is made in copper sheet and sculpt in milliput terracotta

pinning an horse is a boring and necessary job... here my method that don't change also for metal horses.

in this case I needed a new horse for a new project and i decided to use Figurinitaly's Kleber horse.

1st step drill starting from the hoof towards the fetlock (this creates the starting point of the hole between the fetlock and the knee)
2nd step create the cut on the fetlock to detach the hoof
3rd step drill between the fetlock and the knee
4th step cut at the knee
5th step pierce from the knee to the horse's body

the other leg was drilled following the theorical line that pass inside ( the pin in these case is 1.2 mm)

the pin was inserted and blended at the knee first

final result after filling the holes with putty
