ok lets go... somebody asked me to open a new thread for my benchtime
as I said I've a couple of subject in progress...
Murat as king of Naples
The combination of the FI10 Murat reference and the FIC12 Colonel Wolff reference makes it possible to create a historically reliable figure.
The hypothesis is that the tiger leather saddle (painted by Gros in the famous painting below, transformed into a soldier years ago) has also been used on various occasions and in different uniforms.
This is a plausible hypothesis precisely because it combines historically reliable and consistent elements both in terms of period and geographical region (the Kingdom of Naples).
The most complex part of the transformation was to remove the old saddle and insert the pins and in the legs of the horse resting on the ground. A saddle of historex tiger has been decomposed and reassembled by closing the stuccoes with milliput terracotta.
