Nice effort my friend . The only thing i would ask (but is a matter of taste more) is some deeper shadows in the deep creases , as they seem to be intense . Maybe they are lighten by the picture light also .

    Best Regards

    Hello Costas, :)

Thanks for your comment, yes the picts are to light, I think shadows are in life dark enough. I want to take better photos, but I haven't good lamps. I read about the matter, and I want to learn it, and I will buy a camera tripod too.

    Cheers,

    Hello Balazs,

great looking figure! I like the flag and shield a lot, but agree with Costas though, more contrast could improove him, you mention in real it looks different, so look forward to see more pics. Good to see a 'real' Black Army figure!
    Thanks!

Szia Roland, ha nem baj angolul válaszolok.

Yes, I paint allways with oils. Your question about figures, what authentic for the Blackarmys soldiers. I think there are a lot of figures, what are good, for this subject. The new firma Bulat (see in rewies topic) produce an gothic knight (54mm) whos armour is from Vienna (Kunsthistorisches Museum), this armour belonged to Mathias Corvinus. Just Austrians lie in this mater, they said its belong to Sigmund von Tirol, but this prince was a nonentity
:D after Mathias. For the other soldiers I would suggest all gothic figures from the market, because Mathias have soldiers from all nations of Europ (Burgundians, Germans, Czechs, Flamands, Polish etc.) All the pavises in Stadt Museum Wien belonged originally to the Blackarmy, but Austrians have repainted all coat of arms on there after 1490 (death of Mathias).
My firm the Blackarmy modells will produce soldiers from this time in early future too.

    Cheers,
    Balázs

    Hi Balazs,

Nicely painted figure mate. I don't know much about the period, but the setting of the figure on the steep sloping base makes it an interesting piece to look at. I would like to see a little more highlighting on the chain mail around his neck and shoulders, but that's just my personal taste.

    Well done.

    Cheers

    Hello Tony,

Thank you. Yes the chain mail is a little bit darker as usually, I wont use there so much light, because my old sculptorwork is not the best one, ant it dosen't seem to good. In life it's better. By the way I'm a hurrible photograph yet.

    Cheers,

Good sculpt and paintjob Balázs!! I like the painted pattern on the trousers and the freehand painting on the flag. But I also agree with Costas on the deeper shadows.
