Prompted by a chat with Nap on another site I thought it time I showed some more of my work with this recently finished MMM 200mm Confederate Infantryman, its loosely based on a member of the 55th Virginia Infantry Army of Northern Virginia around Gettysburg July 1863. All painted in Vallejo acrylics, base made by me and plaque from Name-it

Nice looking figure, captures the campaign look well, really like the colours used for the wooden stock of the weapon.

Thanks for your kind compliments guy's, I prefer a more campaigned wear and tear look to all my figures and busts
Tom the leatherwork was more an experiment at first that I enhanced towards the end but basically paints and inks.
Steve the stock was done in the same processes as the leatherwork with base and graining in paint then layered with various inks.
    Thanks Mobo your very kind

Lovely paintjob, I like the subtle highlights & shading on the kepi & jacket, & as stated above the leatherwork is exceptional - you've really got a talent for that.

The subdued colours are lovely, the shading is good and the leatherwork is great. What's not to like here?
