Finished this one up last week. The concept seemed great but lacked a little in the execution! Pictures are not the best but here they are!

    Mark,
your horse and the tree look fantastic. I like the tree because it adds nice visual drama to the piece. If I might say though, the samurai's expression looks a bit startled. If that is your intent, it works, if not, he may be a bit "bugg-eyed" for the casual pose of the over all feel. Over all though, the piece looks quite nice!

    Thanks Jay
I think the photo is a bit blurry and the flash probably caught the eyelids as well, the eyes are quite small but I get the bug eyed impression from the photo as well! The tree is an old dead bonsai I preserved about 10 years ago and finally decided to use.

Beautiful work Mark. The tree really adds to the realism and is a real plus. My wife bought me this kit when she was in Budapest for a conference. It is one of the next mounted kits I plan to start on in the near future,

Mark, I really like how your scene sets off your figure. VERY nice display. Of course, the figure is just as good. A bit blurry yes, but it's still good. I just really like the whole appearence of your figure.
