    Hi all,

I sometimes attempt to paint a figure, the way figures figures are supposed to be painted. Well, still miles to go I'm afraid, but this white metal 54mm by Andrea took me a few steps futher than what I did before. It was an interesting experience and a fine figure to paint.
Not exactly box art material, but this is where I stand today, I guess.
    Thanks for watching.

Hi Robert, you have all the basics done very well, the skin tones are very well done indeed, just a bit more tonal change in the coat with some more highlights would make it pop a bit more. Metallics are good.

That's not a bad figure at all. It looks like you have the basics down pretty good and your not afraid to do some weathering effects which look good. Your ground work is particularly good. Good job. Keep it up.

I would love to know where you got the flowers for the groundwork. Excellent overall piece.

    Hi Robert,

Your painting is going very much in the right direction and I sense from your comments that you feel the same about this figure. You obviously have a good eye for composition, the groundwork is well worked out. Red and Yellow are not easy colours but you have carried them off well.

Well handled painting, but I would tone down the colours slightly. The hair is a bit to yellow.

    Thanks for the comments.

Will take 'em with me to the next project though. Can't fiddle around on the same thing eternally.

Flowers: the purple and white stuff are Green Line (Fredericus Rex), leaves also Green Line and Plus Models. Grass is from MiniNature (awesome stuff). All the rest is natural stuff. Dried or treated with glycerine.

    Robert
