Was handed an ultimatum last week, "Get that Hobby Room cleaned up".
So the self-preservation instinct kicked in and it only took three days to get the place looking a bit more reasonable.

I'm still undecided whether to try and sneak my airbrush spray booth under my main work table; as I'm not completely convinced that she won't notice it.

Anyway, was able to get on with some stuff this afternoon.
Andrea Miniatures 54mm "Daniel Dravot" was one of the first figures I tried painting back in 2008, but the arrow tucked under his right arm had been damaged at some point, so I started repairing it today....

....and also got some work done on those two 75mm guys plus the 54mm Qin Shi Huang. I'm leaving them overnight while the glue cures and all three will get a coat of primer tomorrow.

Unfortunately, with so much on the bench something has to give, and that something is RP's Boadicca Chariot. I want to clear my feet before taking on a project like that - with not just the chariot, but also the two figures on it, plus around five or six 75mm Romans - and then building a diorama to accommodate them all.

And besides, Her Imperial Majesty is now muttering about the state of our conservatory - with all my stuff taking up more and more real estate. And that's going to take more than two or three days to clean up....

Hi H

That's a very clean and very organised work area .......

My suggestion......sort the conservatory out by moving it all into the garage .....move cars out onto the lawn or driveway .....

You could put the boxes on top the wardrobes as well

Paint the airbrush booth brown to match table ...she will never notice ......

Resuit ...Her Imperial Majesty will be so happy ......then.....

Set up Boudica in the conservatory ......see sorted

Good luck ...LOL!

Naah - easier just to extend the conservatory out into Dragon Lady's patio.
She's always moaning about the dust out there anyway, so enclosing it with glass panels will provide environmental control - and give me more storage space.
:sneaky:
Good idea on camouflaging the spray booth though.

Hi H

Brilliant reply ...hope the good lady isn't reading this thread ...LOL

Don't forget the highlights on the booth

Nap

The Good Lady's command of English is pretty accomplished, albeit it's English with an almost Scottish accent.
I've no idea where she picked up the occasional and extremely impressive "Anglo-Saxon" vocabulary though....
But she can't read English, (just as I can't read Chinese characters) - so I'm fairly safe from deserved retribution.
I believe Vallejo do some washes that should help with the booth camo.

You could use the paint booth camouflage set with wood effects added to the mix:D
Cheers
John

Hmm, I was thinking of using this set for the urban conflict camo scheme; seeing as my Sweet But Vociferous Little Lotus Blossom Who Must Be Obeyed tends to see everything in absolute terms of black and white anyway....
And I better quit this while I'm still ever so slightly - ahead....

That's a understatement ....LOL

Sweet But Vociferous Little Lotus Blossom Who Must Be Obeyed , Dragon Lady , Her Imperial Majesty .........very thin ice....LOL

Happy slapping paint

Nap

Make no mistake. She can hand out far more verbal than I possibly can.
Lets say our relationship is somewhat similar to that between Basil & Sybil Fawlty.
....:X3:

So, 60 seconds to rig up, (and 30 of them were spent figuring out what I was doing).
I didn't bother with the exhaust trunking, cos for all the amount I spray at a time the filters at the back catch the over-sprays.
Still took the precaution of putting some cardboard at the back of the booth though, just-in-case.

About five minutes spray time, and then another 30 seconds to rig-down again.

And there you go, a bunch of stuff primed in next to no time.

And the best thing about it? It's all deniable!
That's me for the day now. No point in trying to slap some color on until tomorrow, so I'm off to the local Kempinski Hotel.
Mmm, genuine imported German grub, they've got their own micro-brewery and the excellent Filipino band start their late-afternoon/early evening set for the commuters at 5 o'clock.
TAXI....
Cheers (literally)
