Just completed this one a few days ago. Alpine 120mm Charging US Marine, PTO. Figure is painted entirely in Vallejo, base is made from sand, resin logs, railroad plants, and Mig laser cut jungle foliage.
Thanks for looking, and comments welcomed!

Impressive work on the camo. You didn't take the easy way out and just paint camo on the helmet cover! I like all the detailing on the ground work too. It may just be the photo but it looks like the Japanese flag is a bit shiny ?

Thank you both! The flag is quite flat, and has some sand on it......maybe that's what you're seeing?

Excellent painting and nice groundwork. The palms are very effective. If I have any criticism it's that I'd have not bothered with the flag. It's a bit prominent despite being confined to one corner, and I keep finding my eye drawn to it rather than the figure.

Love this figure and you've handled it well. The camouflage is really well done. I'm not the expert on this pattern, but it looks highly accurate.

Also like the groundwork. It's vey original.
Agree about the flag though. Maybe you can tone it down a bit with some sand-coloured washes, or give it some black battle stains?

My one comment would be that his foot could have been sunk into the groundwork more; this looks like very loose beach sand after all. Maybe you can still do this?

That's come up a real treat Rod. The whole package is brilliantly presented. I've always thought the M1 Garand seemed a bit short on this kit, but it must just been the angle that I've been viewing it from. Top effort.
