You probably know I had problems with the figure, First time round of painting I was not happy as more marks showed up, into the dettol bath it went, again undercoated, tiny marks or worls from 3D printing, Some were still present. Anyway finished in acrylics and inks.

Very nicely done Bob, love the vibrancy of the green, given the troubles you've had I'll bet you're glad this one is over. The stand out element for me though is the woodwork on his rifle, outstanding.

Cheers Simon

Cheers Simon,
Yes I am glad this one is out of the way, not what I expected. Still it's done.

Also have such a trouble figure that I already stripped twice and shelved for the time being. Congratulations on pulling through.

You got'a done and now you can put it in the cabinet and move one to something fun you've been wanting to do! I think it came out rather nice.

Thank you, yes done and in the cabinet and now onto something else, phew that's a long job finished.

Your persistence paid off Bob because that looks fabulous. An interesting & unusual subject too, and I echo Simon's comment about the wood effect on his rifle.

Hi Bob

Good to see you persevered on this despite the print issues , it’s a very eye catching piece , really like the way you’ve painted the green

A nice display piece

Well done on keeping with it Bob. He's turned out great- a really eye catching piece amongst all the red and blue you must have in the cabinet! Regards Pete

Beautiful work

Mobo

Steve, Pete, Nap and Mobo.
Thank you for the kind comments, really appreciated after the problems.
Steve, the wood effect on the musket stock is a left over from the 3D print, thought I would leave it as it saved me painting the effect on.
Pete, yes he stands out in the cabinet, I will have to do a Robin Hood figure now with the left over paint. :D

Thank you all again
Regards
Bob

I too am glad you persevered with this one, because it's an interesting figure and a nicely posed sculpt. I think the end result looks great, and I think the way you used the 3D print ridges on the musket is a stroke of genius! It looks really effective. Nice work, and I'm looking forward to seeing it in the flesh.

Nice one, Bob. Often the stripped & re-painted ones end up being the most satisfying projects in the end. That odd shade of green looks tricky - you've definitely pulled it off, though. A very nice figure indeed. Really good skin tones.

Great work Bob, he's turned out really well.
Mine will be hitting the workbench at some point.
