A couple of years ago I added the beard to this "young Bill" bust from Michael Roberts, and after that it has been sitting in its box while I have worked mostly in 1/35. But recently I have been pleased with how my 1/35 work has turned out, and I found this one again.

This is my first effort in something else than 1/35, and my largest sculptingchallenge to date. I mainly work in Magicsculpt, adding some green stuf to the mix for the smaller details like letters and such.

The bust is based on several pictures of US SF in Afganistan, wearing standard uniform in either woodland or desert camo, Blackhawk chestrig, shemag and Pakol.

So far the left side of the bust is close to complete, the right remains, and the magpouches have got their basic shape. The baseplinth will be removed and a .50 cal casing will be cut to length instead.

Only one picture to show as of now, more will come!

A M4a1 has been added to the bust. It was a challenge to get it right, but it was a nice challenge.
At first I tried out with the whole M4a1, but that didnt look right. Instead I cut the gun at the same angle as the bust.

Here is a picture of the weapon in pieces. It has been a lot of filing and sanding to come to this stage, and i have learned a lot.
