That jacket should be dove grey by rights for u booted
The 12 ss dyed them as blck for panzers as well know as well as italian clobber

There are pictures of black leather jackets worn by the uboat's crew.

I agree and cant knock your work i looked it up grey, brown and black so I stand corrected I like the collar, they get slimey on the cuffs job dependant, ive owned a few always dyed to black and the dove grey is a colour ive never seen takled on this bust, if you think a usual u boat jacket has the Beatles collar so it might be a reefer style, im not sure if its weathering. but the end off the cans has a rubber end they come accross as leather to me, but smart job, best regards mick
