    Hello again,
last week I finished this bust from Young and I am sharing some pics with you,
the face is first painted in acrylics and then repainted with oils, the rest is acrylics,
    I hope you like it
    regards Christos.

    Hi Christos
Beautiful paint job.Just one thing i noticed ,he needs a highlight on his bottom lip as it looks a bit out of place with the faces other highlights.Only my humble opinion.

    Hi Chris,

That's beautiful painting mate. When you say that the face was painted in acrylics then repainted in oils, do you mean you painted "oils over acrylics",or did you paint over the acrylics with oils to obscure the acrylics?? I'm just trying to understand what technique you used, because I'd love to know how to paint like that!

    Hi Tony,
the face with the red background is painted in acrylics (I also have added washes and filters),
then over that I apply oils, a mixture of burnt umber, naples yellow, burnt sienna, yellow ochre etc. and I repaint the face with shadows and highlights.
Because the background is already painted it is very easy to blending the oils, it is so enjoyable, try it, I am sure you will enjoy it too.
Here is another one bust painted with the same technic.
    Regards Christos.

PS, Jimia Koubaraki thank you my friend.
