    Thanks.
You can't see it, but the eaglewings, and lightning arrows are under the shieldcover. But i wasn't satisfied after 3 times. And at some point you are done with a figure.

nice job. I like the not often modelled covered shield. The split in the cover explains it to the casual observer (I've been toying with this idea myself).

Great looking figures Marc. I particularly like the fellow with the green garment. His cloak looks amazing. Also like your improvisation with the covered shield. Really nice looking results. (y)

    Hi Marc

You have created a lovely vignette and you have taken your painting yet another step up. Love the subdued colours. It is a pitty that you did not pull off the shield design, but hey, next time you will, I am sure. I notice that you followed my earlier advice and added different colour accents to the animal pelts which as you can see creates more dept.

Adding the leather cover was a convenient solution though it is a pitty that the thickness is a little bit out of scale. Do not know how you got started but I would have rolled out the putty to a thickness of 0,5 mm and then draping and adjusting it over the shield.

    Still, very good work!

    Thanks Johan.
The advise whas great for the fur. The moment i brought on the different colors they where more alive. Thanks for that.
As for the cover: I rolled out A+B putty for less then 0,5 mm. Lay it on the shield and draped it over. Let it dry. The next day the "folds" around the shield didn't look right so i sculpted them over. Then I added a ribbon made of very thin greenstuff and carved them a little bit in. Then i added the cover on the bos and made from leadwire the "ornament".
I must agree with you  that it looks on the side and upperside a bit out of scale but in the pictures it looks more overscaled then in reality.

Anyway again for all the advice. See you in January????
