First let me say you guys have my undying gratitude for all the help you've given me. Thank you.

first. what color would the interior of a British sun helmet be in the Sudan wars?
Second what color was the glass in the goggles the camel corp wore? I have seen them painted green Amber and even Royal blue. Thank you again and Regards, Brock

Thanks` for the response Andrew. I have a repo Sun helmet and the interior is green but being that it is a reproduction I wasn't sure that was correct. Also thanks for the link to the goggles very helpful. Thanks again. Brock

Without doubt the inside of the rim of the helmet is a dark green. The inside of the dome bit would be an unfinished material of whatever the hat was constructed from. They were often made from cork, as cork is cheap, very light and surprisingly strong.

Thank you Blind Pew, that helps a great deal not to get this project going. Regards, Brock
