Trumpeter's vest,coat and belt

    I finally got around to paint the vest, belt and the coat is almost finished,needs a
    lot more work.

    Hey guys I painted the vest , belt and just started the coat.

    Red
    Base= Cadmium red + Cadmium red medium and a touch of chrome green.
    Medium shadows= Alizarin crimson.
    Deep shadows = purple
    Extreme shadows= Chrome green.
    Medium highlights = Cadmium red
    Light highlight= Cadmium scarlet.

    Silver stripes
    Base = Luco’s silver powder + a touch of Viridian green and a little black mixed with Liquin.
    Medium shadow= base + more black and a bit of Viridian green.
    Extreme shadow= Black.
    Medium highlights= pure Luco’s silver powder.
    Extreme highlights= Medium highlights + Flake white.

    White stripes
    Base= Titanium white+ Raw Umber and a tiny amount of Windsor blue.
    Medium shadows= Base + more Raw Umber.
    Medium highlight= Titanium white.
    Extreme highlights= Flake white.

    Blue
    Base = Windsor blue+ Ultramarine blue and a little bit of Cerelium blue.
    Medium shadow = Base + Mars black
    Extreme shadows= Mars black.
    Medium highlights= base + more Cerelium blue.
    Light highlights= Medium highlight+ white.

    Belt
    Base= Mars brown + Burnt Umber.
    Medium shadow= Base + Mars black
    Deep shadows= Mars black.

    Man Roc! That's a lot of color! At first I thought my monitor went heywire! LOL! :lol: Seriously, it's looking good. One question, were all of those lines engraved on the figure or are they free hand?

    Jim, thanks buddy, the lines were already put there by the sculptor, making my
    Job a little easier.
    This is a very colorful soldier of lace warfare; the uniforms were extremely colorful and highly decorated that what makes this figure enjoyable to me. ;)
