Trumpeter's coat, trumpet,cords and tassels

    Thanks Ernest, I have a lomg way go.

    Trumpet
    Undercoat with acrylic tan.
    Base= Testors gold + Mars orange and a little Burnt umber.
    Medium shadow= base + burnt Umber.
    Dark shadows= Burnt Umber.
    Highlight = Testors gold.
    Extreme highlights = touches of pure silver here and there.

    But what i see now was worth waiting. You did a tremendous paintjob on the coat.

    Looks great, Roc. Thanks for the tip on the metal for the horn. I'll have to try that undercoat and oil mix. Cool...

    Gonna be kinda hard to paint the face with that horn in the way, ain't it? :lol:

    Great work so far Roc. I see that you did the coat first.. and left the flesh tones... :) Are you gonna be able to handle them with easiness?

    The right arm holding the trumpet is not permanatly glued to the body, just a few drops of superglue, Before I paint the face I will remove the arm.

    Wow Roc, I almost forgot you started this figure :lol:

    Really coming out nicely.........love it!! And that's a cool touch in being able to remove the right arm to paint the face...........not my cup of tea, as I would rather find a way to go round "things", but as long as you're able to do it....BRAVO!!
