    Hi guys,

As an excited new member to the forum, I present here my first "proper" post.

This is one of Young's WW2 German busts. What he wears can be seen in a recent Daniel Craig film "Defiance", as worn by a Soviet officer. If that particular item in the film is an authentic one, then I am ridiculed. Why? Pls see it (it is a decent film because of Daniel Craig)!

Historical accuracies aside, now about painting. The primary colour (not intended for edges and stripes) is a mixture of sand and foundation white of Vallejo acryllics. Wherever the peaks and troughs are sort of ambiguous, I cheated with Panzer Grey pigments from MIG. If too much pigment was applied by mistake, I just briefly airbrushed the primary colour over it.

The pics with head and cap dry-fitted were taken before the final fine-tuning of this sand-white tone, while the "headless" ones show the final version. Hope the difference is visible, otherwise hours of work has gone to waste...

In my next post, Young Miniature's Panzer Crew.

    Thanks for looking!
    Michael
