Hi guys. Just wanted to show you a few shots of where I stand with the timpanist. Not much left now before I start painting. Not everything is attached with the figure. As you can imagine there are other tassels and ornaments hanging about. Thanks for looking

    Stephen,
very cool stuff! The subject is unique and the pose is great! Is it just me, or does the neck on this chap look just a bit on the small side? It appears to be just a touch too small, both front to back and side to side. Could be the photos, don't know. Nice work, keep us posted as he comes together!

Stephen, Very nice work. I do agree with Jay that the neck looks a little on the small side. I would think filling it out a bit would make a difference. If not, I think it'll still paint up into a nice sculpt.~Gary

Guys , thanks for the nice comments.

Jay , Gary , you're both right but it's not actually the neck. At the rear there's still a vacant area for the hair that's visible from under the czapska and still need to fill up a little. It becomes even more evident due to the slight lift of the head. I'll check it again after filling in the hair.

    Thanks guys. Very appreciated.

Maurizio , la testa e' un pezzo Shenandoah, convertita un po' per andare meglio col soggetto. Non ci sono molti pezzi di commercio in questo pezzo. Quasi tuuto e scolpito. Grazie per i complimenti. Saluti
