Ok guys , here's the Timbalier nearly finished. Just some touch ups and I should be done. I'm also trying to take some better pics. I don't like these.

    Stephem,
very nicely done. The dapple on the horse is particularly nice. Very realistic. I still like the pose on this one, not the typical timbalier, I like it a lot!

I love the dapple grey on the horse, Stephen. That's got to be the most difficult color to paint on a horse. The drums are just beautiful. :)

    Cheers,

Thanks guys and gals for the positive feedback.

Stefano, as you say the horse is from Historex but it was heavily converted. In fact it's made from 4 different quarters held together by pins from the inside. The head is also converted since it was one with a closed mouth. As for the pyrogravure, I don't have one. The tail and mane are putty as is all the horse tack. BDW, what are you up to lately?

    You know!!
I'm a nostalgic one... I come from that kind of figure, the Historex of the eghtys.

So sometime I love to do Historex without transformation, as came out from the box, I love pirogravure couse by it I sniff!! the same smell of twenty years ago!!!

Soon I'll make you see some Historex I made now... please do not surprise!!!...

    ciao Stefano

    Your figure is superb!!!
